The finished steel chain link has a galvanized coating which adds extra life and makes it a durable option. There are three types of coatings: standard galvanized, polyvinyl chloride coating, fusion bonded coating wire.
Each galvanizing coating adds thickness to the fence. But if you prefer the PVC coating over the steel wire, it would need an extra layer on the galvanized mesh. You have different options: the lightweight 2.50mm cable, the heavy duty 3.15mm cable and the extra strong 4.00mm wire. It also has three options: Light Duty 3.4mm, Heavy Duty 4.15mm, and Heavy Duty 5.00mm.
edge: The chain link style fence is available in three main selvedge designs:
- Knuckle – The Knuckle (KK) finish has twists joined at both ends.
- Knuckle – The Barbed (KB) finish has a knuckle twist at the bottom and several barbed twists at the top.
- Barbed – The Barbed (BB) finish has multiple twists on both ends.
The step size (diamond shape) is in mm and offers different sizes. The pitch is the measurement of the diagonal sides of the diamond shape. In accordance with AS2423 rules, the allowable tolerance is +/- 4mm in step size. Even the height of the fence is essential. It is best to measure the pen area before determining the size.
